Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Going to Limerick - Pats game on Saturday evening in Thomond. Probably a good time to be playing Pats after the spanking they took off Rovers last week.

Ha! Will take that point all day long. We were absolutely brutal this evening. No idea how we came away with a draw. Well actually I do. It's most likely got to do with our never say die attitude and our warrior spirit. Defeat is a word we do not contemplate.

Ward got us back in the game with a nice free kick and less than a minute later Mulvenna was bundled over in the box for a clear peno which Dillon despatched. Drogs were hanging on in the end and only scraped a point thanks to a decent Sava save late on.

Think I'm right in saying that all nine of our goals (League and EA Cup) have been scored in the second half. Not one goal scored in the first half in seven games. What a fcuking team. Only bother playing for 45 minutes a game and still lie third in the table. That's why we're champions (elect).

Don't agree. Although disappointing as it was to gift the only goals Shams have scored in the league this season, i do think we're going to go down there and see out the victory. Possession football, Limerick to have a man sent off out of frustration and we deliver the killer blow.

I have a feeling Kenny Browne gets the winner from a set piece, but i truly hope that Christy Fagan stabs (pardon the pun Limerick) home the winner to get his own season underway!!

Doesn't reflect the flow of the game at all.

    Bohs playing some great ball.

They are lacking quality up front though.

Anyone at the Brandywell? What's the story with the penno not given for Shels and the not given red card?

Not in Athlone tonight with SD which inevitably means I miss a goal fest. 3-2 at half time!

Make it 4:0 to Derry. Back to the drawing board. Balls

Not a bad evening for Galway football although it sounds like Mervue threw their game away. Athlone 3 - 3 Salthill Devon. Mervue United 2 - Finn Harps 2.

Also, lol at the airtricity league twitter feed. They got the FT result of the Mervue game incorrect.

Waterford United lose to Wexford Youths tonight. 1 point from 9 for the Blues. Wonder why it's all gone wrong down there at the RSC?

    Derry 4 - 0 Shels

Good win tonight without playing overly well. Sean Houston looks like he has the potential to be a very good player. Hope his injury isn't too bad. Team starting to look like it has a good basis for a good season, with Patterson, Rafter, Houston all playing well, with Kavanagh to come in too.

Another few goals on Monday now v Bray and it will be a good Easter.

United looked absolutely useless tonight. Particularly the back four and keeper. Vinny Sullivan looked lively up front. Was standing behind the blues dugout, think the manager had lost interest altogether in the second half. Actually the whole performance reminds me of when we beat them 6-0 last season, just total disinterest. The only difference being the Youths were lacking Tom Elmes and Danny Furlong to put all the chances away.

Youths were very happy to walk away with the three points :D

i was never a big fan of o'brien but thats been an awful start, poor start last year too tho, i wonder will he get the time again this year tho?

yea always liked him, could see good ability in him back when he was a teenager making his senior debut and has progressed well since

happy with 2-2 after being 2 down, would have jumped at that result at half time... and given ciaran had to save a penalty too

kev mchugh up to 7th on the all time loi list on 158 after netting 4 in 4 so far, 1 off glen crowe in 6th. hopefully a good crowd in finn park next week, 732 or so last week another 100+ would do nicely

Rafters goal was a peach. Worth the entrance fee. Peno just trickling in off the keeper was funny. Good win for Derry. Pity ill not see the bray game. Need to build on this strong performance. Thought shels were poor.

    That's a killer.

Same as the game in the Cross last season.

Between those two games, Rovers have used up all the luck from late goals conceded in front of the Shed.

Up until the red card, Cork were well disciplined and Healy never left Chambers' side other than scoring the goal. As a result Rovers were toothless, Finn rendered anonymous. Red card, Cork resorted to booting the ball away instead of keeping it. Still Rovers were extremely fortunate even then. Goal was the fourth last touch of the ball.

You can see that he worked with Pats last season. Everything goes through Chambers and the centre halves and when Healy never let him get on the ball, Rovers created nothing at all.

Have to hope he comes up with some alternative.

Everything goes through Chambers - -that's what Croly is relying on?

Shams might as well give up now.

Two in a row for Sligo.

There is a way around that, took us a while but we figured it out.

In fairness Croly was leaving mid Sept and thats when it happened, but we figured it out, our end of season results showed we figured it out.

Just cant believe they scored 3 goals against us

Feel a bit stupid now predicting 3rd for us, but that prediction was in 2013 BE (before Eldinho) so I get a pass.

    Ohh Anthony Elding...

Huge game on Tuesday for Shams in Limerick. Hopefully we'll do a professional job on UCD the day before and put more pressure on them to get a win down there.
