Timed Porch Light

I've a standard porch light connected to a 3 gang switch just inside my front door. I'd like to put this on a timer so if we are away it comes on for a few hours in the evening and switches off around bedtime.

Can anyone recommend a way getting this on a timer?

That could be a bit big for an outside fitting

Thanks for the reply but I think that would be too big to fit into the glass cover on the porch light.

Just buy a dusk-dawn CFL bulb....about 10-12 euro for a 15w bulb.

Or else buy an outdoor dusk till dawn bulkhead light for around 20 euro in a leccy wholesalers or DIY store.

Pic shows a PIR sensor bulkhead,but they can be had with a dusk till dawn sensor on it.
