Help in trying to find a particular poem.

I am currently trying to find an old poem to used to appear in Ireland's Own magazine many years ago. It is about the power of alcohol. The poem frequently refers to wine and how it has toppled kings from thrones and left the rich penniless. Any help in finding this piece of poetry would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
