Anyone care to comment on Coleman's chances of selection over the next few weeks?

He starts every game but he is a midfielder playing in defence ?

He's played the last four but had missed three before that, presume he was injured?

He was . But do you really want a midfielder playing in defence ? You won't get the clean sheet bonus and he sets up very little

Defoe out for 3 games in case anybody is considering transferring in a Spurs player.

No offence, but how is that team in the top 1000?
It seems very average? Especially with 0 in the bank?
You mustve had a great run at some point yet sold all your most expensive players at the wrong times?

Ditch either Begovic or Bunn for a better keeper. Preferrably de Gea if you can wiggle some cash out of somewone like Turner?

I'm not near the top 1000, so probably not in the best position to advise you!

But your mids look weak for the DGW33. Michu and Bale no game, Puncheon probably not playing. It's a bit boring, but I would bank your transfer for this week, then next week get rid of Michu and Puncheon, for Fellaini, and someone else with a double game week.

    must be my great tactics!

Would it be worth replacing Nastasic with Zabaleta or should I opt for a dgw player instead? Am I right in thinking that City are due a double gameweek in the near future?

Just noticed the bit in bold.
Why not use your wildcard? Theres only a handful of gameweeks left, you might as well use it to your advantage with one of the double gameweeks coming up?

bale has to be out for at least this weekend now!

    Gary Lineker, BBC Sport

"Fear that's the end of Bale's season. Very much hope I'm wrong!"

Bale will surely miss this weekend, has a blank the week after and then Man City the week after that.

    Bailout!

Twud mean doubling up on Chelsea midfielders though?
Risk of rotation too, I know Hazard didn't start tonight!

Thats true id fancy hazard oscar and mata to play in behind ba at the weekend. With walcott doubtful and no utd mids worth a punt Im not going to get overly caught up with gw 33.

Gerrard vs West Ham could be worth a punt although twud mean doubling up on Pool players.

Not for me he plays very deep these days but with pool getting a fair few pens of late hes scored quite well and is guaranteed 90 mins though. Chelsea have 8 league games left liverpool have 7.

Is Walcott definitely out this week? He's gone red but I had heard Wenger say he would be back for the game against WBA.

Took Bale out Monday for Mata. :)

Have two free transfers to make, looking at dropping Bale for one, not sure on the other yet.

was looking at the DGW next week and was wondering will Fellaini be back for both games?
It says "Suspended until 13 Apr" does that mean up to AND including the 13th?
In which case he will miss the QPR game.

He is back for the DGW. 2 game ban will be served by then.

Was gonna bank my transfer but now I'll sell Bale and hope he goes down a bit before I have to get him back, Gerrard is an option as is Hazard but I'm thinking a dgw player makes more sense. I'm thinking about Arteta for the next 2 weeks, it gives Arsenal 3 games to win a penalty which would make it worth my while, it will also leave me plenty of change to bring in another big hitter for the dgw.

is it worth the 4 point hit for Santi if Bale is out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 492 ✭✭moreau

God it is hard to choose who to replace Bale with assuming one has Santi.

I have considered a lot of players and top of my list is currently Gerrard, but I am really uncertain

    My shortlist:

    Gerrard
    Gervinho
    Arteta
    Hazard
    Silva
    Lampard

Would love to see a poll of who to transfer (excluding Santi:D)

I'd already made my FT getting Santi in for Walcott. If I replace Bale it'll be a -4 hit.

Weighing up whether to just take the hit and bring in Mata/Gerrard who'll play this weekend, or plan for next week, replace Bale with Fellaini and upgrade a defender to Baines/Evra.

It would mean Schneiderlin gets his game this week for me. Taking the two weeks into consideration what do people think is the better option?

    :confused::confused:

I'm waiting to see how bad Bale's injury is before doing anything. He's worth £10.9 and I'll only get £10.3 for him, and was planning on benching him next week anyway.

He's got 22 days until they face Wigan, pointless transferring him out if he is likely to make this game. He might even make the City game the week before.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 15,239 Mod ✭✭✭✭FutureGuy

OK so Bale might be back for the City game in GW34. Are people still selling him?

By selling him and transferring him back in, you are down 2 transfers that could be used for DGW players in GWs 33 and 36.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,471 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

shít, i forgot that Arsenal are away to West Brom.

is there a better option than Santi this week? should i double up on Chelsea mids and bring in Hazard alongside Mata?

    ugh.

    fúck you Bale.

and good point Rory. i may just play 3-4-3 with this..

    DDG

    Clyne
    Mert
    Samba
    Mata
    Yaya
    Michu
    Sissoko
    RVP
    Sturridge----Benteke

a lot of variables there though.

You have sissoko 1st sub which gives you option of keeping Bale

Some of us have squads with 3 weak subs so Bale in this case must go really...

Re money, his price will prob drop significantly anyway so should be possible to get him back in easy enough? That's my plan anyway!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,635 ✭✭✭miller82

Having Bale on the Bench for that long at this stage in the season is making me uncomfortable and as has been said, his price will drop so getting him back in wont be a major deal, apart from losing two transfers to do it, but are ya really losing them if you get a player in that plays three times, maybe four

I also have Michu who wont be playing right ?

hazard is a dgw player just not the upcoming one. If you get in arteta you will end up transferring him back out whereas with hazard you will keep him and be one step ahead of the crowd with regard to the next double gw 36. Hazard also has the better fixture this week.

would you conside Hazard a better option then Santi....................with Mata already in the team ?

Good point, would be nice to transfer someone that could be kept for rest of season with a double gameweek.

How about Silva? I know away to utd this week but these games anything can happen and could be scorefest (could also be 0-0 i suppose). Thinking more of Wigan at home GW33, and the double GW (can't remember who is extra game?)

Got Monreal and Gerard in for Samba and Walcott, then its wildcard time for gw 33

Bale doesnt play the next two gws theres no way Ill be keeping him at this stage of the season.

probably not I already have santi(so thats why Im looking at hazard) as things stand santis probably the best capt choice for GW33.

thats exactly my point theres two doubles left the likes of city chelsea spurs will have one later on. For DGW 33 Arsenal have great fixtures Everton decent there the only teams Im looking at . I dont want wham attacking players , Utd players are too risky(have rvp) and I feel Ive missed the boat with berba and now that fulham are safe they may drop off.
With that in mind I think silva hazard etc are good shouts as they are season keepers and have 8 league games left as opposed to a lot of teams that have 7.

People are over-reacting. If Bale's injury is bad then it's correct to transfer him out but best to wait for confirmation, even if it costs you £0.1m. It could just be a badly sprained ankle, I've done it many times myself and it's the same as that replay. Looks a lot worse than it is. Spurs face Everton this weekend, then he had a blank anyway next week. The following week they face City, where Bale already drew a blank this year.

If he looks like he'll make it back for the Wigan game it would be silly to get rid IMO, unless you have a wildcard. His value will likely drop but you could still lose cash on the transfer, AND possibly waste transfers. Not saying you definitely shouldn't get rid, as mentioned above you can limit your exposure a bit. Just don't knee-jerk and get rid of one of the best players until you have all the info.

Spurs are having a cracking season and Bale will make a massive effort to get back for the City game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

I'll wait until tonight as AVB has said Bale will be assessed today so not going to panic.

If I do transfer him out,it'll most likely be for Hazard.

Argh Bale's injury has thrown this weeks transfers unto chaos.

    My team currently is
    DDG
    Zabaleta, Dawson, Azpilicueta
    Mata, Michu, Bale, Santi
    Anichebe, RVP, Suarez

    Subs: Bunn, Pearce, Clyne, Marveaux

Have 0.1 in the bank and one free transfer - tell me what should I do to put me out of my agony!
