Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

my hands are really dry at the moment, so I was going to cover them in e45 cream and wear latex gloves overnight to keep the moisturiser in the gloves.........what do people reckon??

I have done this on occasion and my feet too but I would use cotton gloves, not latex, else your hands will sweat and stay wet.

A good thick moisturiser and cotton gloves work best. You can get the gloves in Tesco & Boots. They're not expensive at all.

Yeah don't use latex you'll sweat like hell and bacteria and all sorts can develop. Use cotton gloves you can buy them in most chemists. I use the toughest Neutrogena for moisturising my hands and feet like this, works a treat.

Also bliss do special glove & hand cream combo. It's a little pricey but really nice.

Do not wear latex gloves over night - it can lead to very nasty skin conditions and infections... the last thing you want!

+ 1 on the cotton gloves - Boots etc. sell them and they can be washed over and over. Slap on a mother loads of moisturiser and them pop on the gloves overnight - you'll have super soft hand in no time!

Picked up some of the mane n tail hoofmaker hand cream and have to say it is quite nice. I tried out the soap and glory handcream and while tis nice it washes off very easy.. Hoofmaker and cotton gloves = loverly hands

thanks for the responses, Milly33 -where did you get the Mane and Tail (as in who stocks this???) - thanks again :-)

I got it in Touchstone in Mahon/Blackrock. The pharmacy down by Aldi there. But Sam McCauleys stock it also. It is a little pricey at €7 and a few cents but Im defo in favour of it. Has a small nozzle so you don't end up squirting a load of it into your hands. You should also try the coconut oil as a treat, you pick up a tub in any chemist for around €4 I think but it is great for everything feet, hands, skin, hair. It is a hard cream you have to melt it in your hands but this is nice also in the gloves at night..best of luck with it :)

The Sanctuary Intensive Rescue Heel Balm is amazing, its a miracle for dry skin. I have horrible dry skin on my hands, at sides of my baby fingers and in between all my fingers I have dry skin which bleeds in very cold weather and I use this on it and after a few days its clears up. It's around €7 in Boots but so worth it. It's the only thing I have found that gets rid of dry skin.
