My son has just come back from rowing and tells me that there are two swans in a back garden just off the plots in Woodquay
They've been there for two days apparently. There is a high wall around the garden & the birds have no way of getting out. They tried ringing the doorbell but there was no answer.

Does anyone know someone who could help?

Get a plank of wood and lay it over the wall on the inside of the garden, if it's not too steep they'll make their own way out.

The wall's over 8ft seemingly. Who'd be the best person to ring? I'm concerned that they've been trapped in there for so long

    Can they not fly out?

Be careful mentioning poles in a thread about swans. ;)

Swans are great animals but they're not the brightest.

Have you ever seen a swan trying to take off?

They need a bit of a running start, takes them a little while to get going.

Must be very clever swans if they knew to ring the doorbell... :)
