Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Such wise tactic and team selection Mr Fergson. He such a wise man.....(SARCASM) You are no wise man Fergson you are FOOL! Foolish old fool!

I concur. Should have started Shinji. Comfortable win it would've been for United.

Last season or the year before I'd be delighted to see 4 minutes at a time like this. I find it hard to get excited this time though.

No complaints about the result. Chelsea by far the better team.
Nothing up front for United. Some poor individual performance too.
Ah well, we'll have to make do with just the one trophy this season. :)

****e game with two moments of brilliance in it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Out with a whimper. Looked comfortable if pedestrian in the first Hal but couldn't raise it whe Chelsea upped the tempo.

The starting 11 positional wise was a little odd to say the least as was some of Fergies subs.

To think back to that first half at Old Trafford and now realise we are out is hard to take.

Kagawa should have started with Hernandez when Rooney was ruled out, Chelsea deserved to win

Even though Welbeck was ne of if not Utds best player? Players played n position might have helped. Whatever about Valencia at right back when both Smalling and Jones were on th field, starting Cleverely on the left was bizzare.

Very toothless performance from United, there and if it wasn't for that amazing goal, I doubt I'd have bothered with rest of the second half. Chelsea were the better side, some nice moves from them, but yeah... miserable game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭Essien

I don't know Uniteds current situation with regard to suspensions/injuries etc but should they really not have went all out to win that game?

They could field their reserves in the league for the rest of the season and stroll to the title. The FA cup would be a nice little bonus for anyone.

3 games in a row that we've been flat in,thank fook we have a 15 point lead in the league as I'm not looking forward to taking on City the way we are playing at the minute.

Did De Gea have to make a save bar the one he made with his foot in the first half?

Poor game with few chances & neither team could say they deserved a win really.

Kagawa would have suited Hernandez alot more imo since chicos game is to make runs off the defenders, Wellbeck isn't known for his passing ability! He worked hard alright

I thought Evra was Uniteds best player by far today

Over both games Chelsea were the better side and I think fully deserve to go through. Tense, tight game which led to mistakes from both teams, two moments of class from Mata and Ba and then a world class save from Cech won Chelsea this game but a sublime performance from Hazard, Luiz, Ramires and Mata in the first game got us the chance to get the tie to Stamford Bridge.

Ba was excellent today, his goal was a really great moment of magic but on top of that his ability to occupy two centre backs single handedly at times was nothing short of Drogba-like. Credit to the whole team though, Hazard again did very well as did Ramires, Azpilicueta, Mikel ect.

Great win, on to Wembley now to face Man City. As an added bonus, with the league all but over so too is Man Utd's season.
