That's what happens when children are driven everywhere, they no longer no personal locomotion.

What gets me is seeing a film out in the cinema and then seeing it shown on RTE.

"What? But that was only in the cinema...3 years ago"...!

You're growing until you're 18, once you hit that you're just getting older year by year.

Someone pointed that out to me before and I fvcking hate them for it :(

I would imagine most kids in secondary school now don't remember when the PS1 and the N64 were considered high-tech, cutting edge entertainment.

    1990 was 23 years ago :(

It only feels like yesterday when Italia 90 was on and about 20 of us were up on top of a bus shelter rocking the bollox out of it after David O Leary scored that peno.

    I was 9

Most people in my class were born in 1990 and 1991. :o I was 9 8 then too. :(

I would imagine most kids in secondary school now don't remember when the PS1 and the N64 were considered high-tech, cutting edge entertainment.

I'd imagine a lot of kids in Secondary School now don't remember a time when we didn't have mobile phones and you used the house phone to call your mates, we didn't have Sky Plus and the like and you'd to record stuff on DVD or better again; video cassettes. As for cassette tapes... perish the thought!

Anyone born in the 80s has lived through some of the most enormous changes in technology ever seen I would say. I doubt that the extent and speed of change from 1990 - 2010 will ever be replicated.

Most of all; there are kids in school today who'll never have heard the joys of bopping to Scooter in a teenage disco. That fact genuinely makes me sad. :(

Over 6ft but as far over that as I can get I'll be happy :p It's the fact that you stop growing and it's all downhill from there is what scares the bollix off me!

Was something like the 25th of October 2001 or something (Mental they way I can narrow down the date  )

An awesome game. Sure, Vice City is better but that was the first 3d GTA. Where does the time go. Also, I remember I was big into the Channel 4 gaming tv show called "Bits" - it was around GTA3's release that they shortly ended.

And Goodfellas is 23, Scorcese and De Niro were never as good again, in fairness, it was cinematic perfection.

My first recollection of Bowie was Under Pressure 32 years ago, U2 were the next Thin Lizzy then!

As for Nintendo, I can remember friends fighting over the NES or Atari 25 years ago, both unattainable for me then.

As for technology, I remember smiling at the story about a kid answering the home phone and saying Dad wasn't at home, you should try the mobile. That was 16 years ago, it sounded odd! Now, telling somebody to ring the home phone is strange, never mind all the technological changes.

If you take the year that "That 70's Show" was set in and it's original airdate and made it today it would be called "That 90's Show" and be set in 1991.

That young wan from "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" will be 37 this month.
