Newly separated - what happens next?

    Hi all,

I wonder would anyone have any advice for newly separated people. On the downside, I am working but money is terribly tight - can't seem to stretch to pay for everything. On the upside, kids (x2) appear OK and a dark cloud has lifted :)

What's the prognosis? Doom and gloom or bright new vistas?

Bright new vistas all the way! I'm in a similar situation, working full time and have one small child so money is very very tight but the black cloud left us a year ago. It hasn't always been easy, we went to court to sort Child Maintenance as he was trying to be a controlling pr*ck and we're just finished mediation, get our separation document in a couple of weeks. It's tough, but soooo worth it
    Good Luck!

Bright new vistas. Financially you will need to identify free or low cost activities such as libraries, keep fit etc
Would you be able to take on a separate part time job just to get a little extra income
