Win7 drivers

    I have a old Canon scanner.Software is for Win XP and not supported for Win7.Is there some way I can run it in compatibility mode under Win7?

    The short answer is. For 32-bit Windows 7, maybe. 64-bit, no.

    If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate you might be able to install it via the Virtual XP environment.

    64 bit Home Premium so it's for the recycling centre I guess.

    Do Canon have any newer drivers available on their website? Or on Windows Update maybe?

    Not on the Canon site definitely. Didn't know Microsoft provided updated drivers.

    Did you try to connect the scanner with an active internet connection.

    It may find a driver on Windows update. Worth trying before it goes in the bin.
