The alternate one looks like an 8-bit ghost.

I think that alternative Clermont jersey looks terrible, the colour hiding the weird patchwork quilt concept on the home jersey makes it more bearable but god the alt one looks awful

    Really? I love it.

Altho I'm always a fan of ASM's jerseys. Love that 'techy' look.

Been impressed by UnderArmor's offerings lately. Last year's Tottenham kits for example were crackers. My only worry with those Clermont ones are that the mesh might be too 'see through'

Don't think it's mesh. Might be just a design.

Yeah on a closer look it reminds me of the design Canterbury put on the GS Ireland kit.

Big fan of the new under armour shirts....like how they've tweaked it slightly rather than changed it completely...i hope to god they get the ireland contract!

This! I would love to see an Under Armour Ireland Jersey. The last couple of Wales kits have been great.

Unfortunately the fact they're in bed with Wales at the moment probably means its not gonna happen.

Adidas for Ireland, think positive. Although I have a terrible feeling in me belly that its going to be BLKsport as someone around here mentioned.

Burrda going with similar templates for both football and rugby, suppose it keeps costs down for them

Dissapointed that Leintser followed through with stripes on the home, away and 'home classic' jersey. The classic is a bit similar to some older jerseys, but the stripes still ruin it in my opinion.

The Leinster home one is a nice colour of blue. Not overly keen on the stripes though. The away one is very white, could do with a bit more colour.

I like the alternate jersey. I know it's just a subtle difference with the "strings"* going diagonally down the jersey instead of the wave pattern on the home shirt, but it still looks better for it.

I reckon if I am going to buy one this season, that will be it.

*Strings is how they're described on the Leinster website:
The four harp strings represented on the shirt signify Leinster, with the pattern then dividing into 12 to signify the 12 counties of the province and the strength they project when all the people of the province come together.
Another reason why marketing folk must die!

What do you even say about that Leinster press release?

We dont need 'strings' to represent the 12 counties. The fecking Leinster crest represents the twelve bloody counties, is that not enough?

    I think I'll invest €32 in this top/jersey instead:

Awful. It looks really cheap or something.

Also really don't like the blue shorts.

It looks like a Chelsea kit, rather than a Leinster one.

I don't like the home jersey, although I like it's colour, but I do like the alternate!

I think I might buy the alternate and the t shirt.

Why are the stripes different? The stripes on the alternate blend in way more than ones on the home jersey. If the home jersey had the same stripes as the alternate, I may have been okay with it. Although I would have preferred none at all.

It's more FORZA AZZURI than ALLEZ LES BLEUS

    Blue is the Colour

Blue is the colour, football is the game
We're all together, and winning is our aim
So cheer us on through the sun and rain
'cause Chelsea, Chelsea is our name

The shorts make it even worse than I could have imagined :mad::(

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,791 ✭✭✭prospect

I *think* that the Home one doesn't look as well in the photo because Cian has it tucked in and it is loose (bunched) around his waist.
The 2nd kit is outside the shorts and pulled down straight, which makes it look a bit better.

For comparison, Gordans 2nd kit looks a bit more naff to, because it is tucked in.

Still not 'cian' on it though

Maybe it'd looked better if healy on the ground?

Not sure which I dislike more, the home or the classic home.

I like the white one though. Straight 'strings' make a big difference.

Went into an elverys just there as I was walking by one to see them in real life. The home one looks a lot better then in the photos but the alternate is probably way nicer.
