Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Quick question about jobseekers.

I have been working part-time for the past 3 months. All was good at the start but I'm now only working a 8 hour contract. It is flexible contract so I could end up working an extra few hours a week. For example I worked 8 hours this week and I'm doing 14 next week. Should I be able to get job-seekers allowance on a flexible contract?

I looked online and it said it would be grand if I work under 4 days a week. What if I work 5 days a week one week.

Cheers if anyone can help as Im confused as feck.

If you have suffered a loss in employment then yes you can apply for Jobseekers.

Generally if you work 3 days or less a week you can claim for the other days.

If you worked 5 days in one week for example, you just wouldn't receive a SW payment that week.

Summary: Yes go in and apply to your nearest SW office for Jobseekers.

The Loss of Employment applies to Jobseekers Benefit only.

You do not have to suffer a loss of employment for Jobseekers Allowance.

Put point hans_ made is the same "Yes, go in and make a claim".
