Have 3MB / 384 due to stability issue above this speed. However I am still getting disconnects from servers and issues with VOIP calls. I have disconnected all landline phones from line. Haven't a monitored alarm or Sky. I'm about 3km from Exchange as per google maps (which I know isn't any indication). I've replaced dsl filter and router which shows the following:

    Line Coding(Trellis): On On
    SNR Margin (0.1 dB): 144 250
    Attenuation (0.1 dB): 580 260
    Output Power (0.1 dBm): 185 119
    Attainable Rate (Kbps): 5280 1068

    Rate (Kbps): 3072 384 0 0

    K (number of bytes in DMT frame): 97 13 0 0
R (number of check bytes in RS code word): 14 0 0 0
    S (RS code word size in DMT frame): 2.00 1.00 0.0 0.0
    D (interleaver depth): 32 1 0 0
    Delay (msec): 16.00 0.25 0.0 0.0
    INP (DMT symbol): 1.08 0.00 0.0 0.0

    Super Frames: 5846664 5858649 0 0
    Super Frame Errors: 0 0 0 0
    RS Words: 198786576 0 0 0
    RS Correctable Errors: 27322 0 0 0
    RS Uncorrectable Errors: 188 0 0 0

    HEC Errors: 0 30 0 0
    OCD Errors: 0 0 0 0
    LCD Errors: 0 0 0 0
    Total Cells: 721607684 0 0 0
    Data Cells: 81701781 0 0 0
    Bit Errors: 0 0 0 0

    Total ES: 66 0
    Total SES: 10 0
    Total UAS: 228 228

Anyone any suggestions if / how I can improve stability / speed ?

The line is peforming poorly, given the length you mentioned. Could you refresh the page every few seconds to see how much the SNR margin values vary with respect to time?

I'm guessing there is a bad junction somewhere between your modem and the exchange. Disconnecting phones won't change wiring problems within the house and that a very common cause for intermittent drops (from what I see on boards).

Extension lines and sockets are what I'm referring to. Or corrosion of wires at junctions or screw terminals, or poor quality wire and so on. Basically, you want a single cable coming from outside to a single socket, with the modem plugged into that. No junctions with other cables going to other sockets or anything like that. Just a box where the external line ends and the internal cable begins, and left unbroken to the socket.

When you get to that stage, it should rule in or out almost every internal issue.
