Can't we all just be friends ??????

In fairness Sully does seem to be turning over a new leaf. The meeting are obviously helping.

I agree you need to be careful when naming a business etc, it can be a bit dodgy, but I think she was just upset at having someone be so rude to her and she was a bit defensive, which I would be too! !
I don't have a problem with naming a 'business' such as 'I thought the checkout person in Dunnes/Tesco/Supervalu was very rude' etc. A 'business', even a local one, is highly unlike to take a defamation action. However she named an individual who is not here to defend themselves and I was just pointing out the perils of that course without having a link to corroboration.

And whats worse, if they come on here to defend themselves they get sent to the prison forum and are told to email boards to set up a corporate account.

Consider chatting with a Footcare Specialist too. It is important when you are running that you are not doing damage to other joints, ankles, knees, hips, back. There is a footcare specialist in Greenview Terrace , near Brandon Hotel

I didn't realise there was a footcare specialist there! good to know :)

To change the subject, did anyone go down to see the marathon today?

I was out around the route supporting it & was disappointed when I came back to the town centre around 2. There was a very small crowd around the town & down Denny Street where the finish line was. People were just heading away once the person/people they were supporting finished. There was nothing to keep people around, hopefully a better effort will be made tomorrow for the parade. I was at the finish line in Killarney last year for the Ring of Kerry cycle & there was an amazing atmosphere around and they had a band playing to add to the atmosphere. IMO you'd hardly think there was anything going on in Tralee today (apart from all the barriers they had around the place) which was sad for the runners.

It's hard to compare a Sunday in March to a Saturday in July, but Killarney always will have the crowds to generate the income to provide for bands etc.

Fair enough, but its St. Patricks weekend! I just thought more of an effort would be made, its hard enough to get people into the town centre without leaving them out of the town so easily - face painting for the kids, buskers, anything!

I noticed that too! I was going down around 2.30pm to meet family & thought it was very quiet. I couldn't believe how few people were around. I would have felt quite disappointed if I was coming in (probably last!) and there was no one left to cheer me on!

A can of Lilt? You have excellent retro taste. Is there curry sauce on the chips perhaps?

Perhaps the weather did not help, yesterday was absolutely glorious.
If the sunny weather had continued into today, I think there would have been more people around.

Ciarrai, if you run in the next marathon, we will cheer you on!

Full marks to the organisers, the event was well organised. Thank you to the Marshalls, Civil Defence, Red Cross and especially An Garda Siochana who as always did a wonderful job.

Ya, fair play to all the volunteers. You must have watched the marathon from different places to me though because I was out supporting from 9 to 3.30 today & the only guard I saw was Seamus, the guard on the bicycle (apart from the guards running).
