Nobody knocked the right to protest. As a socialist I actively encourage it. But I stop short at over exaggeration and band wagon jumping

    Here ! Here !

    Double standards being applied !:)

I'm no fan of Fine Gael, believe me, but it beings a wry smile to my face that people are now! up in arms because of the water charge. Where were all the protesters when Fianna Fáil and their cronyism with the bankers destroyed this country?
Where were the marches and out pourings in Tralee when our houses were repossessed and our businesses destroyed because we let them, and our European masters fck us over and destroy our country, passing an insurmountable debt onto us, and onto our children. When you come to realise that, and realize the absolute ckusterfck of a mess they left behind for this current government, then we can talk again

Wont be able to make it,was hoping it would be on TV but no joy there either,

They showed the replay of the Wexford hurling last week but apparently the replay of the Kerry county championship isnt that important.

Have to make do with Gary and Weeshie

Eh did you not see what happened to Fianna fail in the general election in 2011?

Fine Gael have turned out to be a mirror image of that Fianna fail party. The only difference is that Fine Gael are far more arrogant and far more incompetent. People are finally waking up to this now.

The it's all Fianna fail's fault argument is way past it's sell by date at this stage. Dear old enda still uses it as his excuse in the dail yet he and his party are in government nearly four years and have done nothing differently from their predecessors.

The spin doctors would lead you to believe that the current lot have picked up the pieces and have got this country back on track with an improving economy. Imo they are claiming away too much credit for what little recovery has occurred.

Funny isn't it that this economy didn't see one bit of improvement in this governments first 3 years in office, in fact it's worse it got. It's only when things started to improve overseas did we see a small improvement here.

Ahem, I think we have moved onto football. Are you going to the replay in Killarney tomorrow. Looks like I am the only one going thus far. Can the Rocky's do the business this time ?

    Well said Sir !

There is a danger that the Tralee thread is being used is a political conduit to discuss or protest against water charges. The thread was never set up to serve the political views including those of the MOD.

Excuse me, but I have said it more than once that we are allowed to say that there are protest marches on and its fine to discuss how many were there! The Listowel thread have done the same. I didn't continue with my political views on it, and asked for it to discontinue last week, which clearly it hasn't! I have already given a warning on this and I asked earlier for it to again not be discussed any further. I do not appreciate being called pedantic & sensitive!

It would appear you brought up the issue again this week . What are you doing? Wearing too many hats imho.! You are confusing your personal opinions with your political opinions and then trying to MOD when the horse has bolted

Please bring back the old Ciarrai, whom we all adored.:)

Huh? Surely if a major event like a protest that draws over a thousand people is held in the town the thread is based on, surely it's relevant to mention it in said thread?

Some of the snarky and patrionising comments left in the last few pages have been painful to read tbh. If there was a water charge protest in Killarney, it sure as hell would be mentioned in the Killarney thread.
Please bring back the old Ciarrai, whom we all adored.
    Give it a rest ffs

del, the mod has been very patient with you and you have continued to undermine their position. please discuss any issues you have in private, not on thread. there wont be any more warnings after this one. lets move on please, no reply is required. thanks.

    South mod.
