Were any of the unions there protesting against the bonus structure that they signed up to in Irish water? I'll bet they weren't. Its amazing how quickly these "socialists" become capitalists when it suits them. I'd have more issues with these guys "right" to bonuses coming out of my pocket than paying water charges.

the first one I'm not 100% sure of as its a kinda new one to me, although I know they are saying 'yes we can'!
The 2nd song is slightly different to when we first started it 20 years ago...
'Sit down if you hate no one...' (it used to say sit down if you hate Narries! LOL)...'Stand up if you love Rockies...'

Thanks ! Interesting name . I guess there is great rivalry between both clubs.

I guess the "Narries" too are delighted that a Tralee Team won.

    It is great for Tralee:)

Narrie came from "Narrie pickers" a name they got from living next to the dump

Thats true, but does anyone know what a narrie actually is?
If youre living in Caherina cottages and your parents send you to the dump to pick narries, what do you come home with?

Maybe my timeline is off, but I thought this term originated in the early 40's?
At that time rationing was in full swing and oranges were a luxury. Even in to the 50's country folk would only see an orange as an Xmas present.

They'd want to put some money into revamping the rooms - they were basic when I was inside one prior to its closing.

yeah, I've been in them too, although it was probably about 10+ years ago and I doubt they were refurbished since then!

are you sure that's public knowledge? was that person named in the paper as the purchaser? be careful naming who bought it in case its not.

There seems to have been an accident on the CBS-side of Fairies Cross, I hope everyone is alright. Garda car with flashing lights and an ambulance sitting in the entrance to the service station...
