Was Nancy Myles definitely sold? Doesn't look like anything has been happening there yet. The for sale sign is still up.

    been wondering the same thing!

Have a look at their web page http://www.iceland.ie and look at the store locator, they are even in Longford! So maybe Tralee will be next.

Looks like they are opening in Tralee. They have advertised for a store manager per link above. They also have opened a new store in Midleton recently, a town which would be a lot smaller than Tralee.

interesting! Just thinking though, its not a very big unit, not sure how it would work? I've been in Iceland's before, mainly in the UK and they are a lot bigger than that unit. They are basically a supermarket.

how bad though, good to see another business opening up in our town! more jobs is a good thing :)

Be more income for our local GPs too if the food in Iceland is anything to go by

Kiely's was actually very big. Not unlike the small Tesco in scale I guess.

no way its anything as big as small Tesco, its tiny compared to it! It doesn't go the whole way back because Lane's is behind it.

we are having some lovely weather this Easter, I hope it brings the crowds into town. I think there's a few things organised in various places for kids.

A kids fancy dress race in the green today with zumba, face painting and a tug of war. Good fun and all enjoyed themselves heartily.

.Kielys shop was at front but they had a substantial storage area for their goods between their shop and Lanes furniture. This was accessed from lane at the side. If both were made into one unit it would be substantial

that's great! Nice to see plenty organised for families!

With the sun out I couldn't help but get tidying up in the garden & even did the first cut of the lawn! So much to do in our garden, so little time (and money!). Anyone fancy a bit of gardening!:D

I suppose you could strike a deal with a poster on here, rescind a perma-ban for mowing your lawn, bush trimming extra of course

    rescind perma-ban? for who?

I quite like mowing the lawn, its planting I hate doing & no clue what to plant!

I love gardening, this afternoon was lovely, got the grass cut and weeded my strawberry beds. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same, a trip to the garden centre might be a plan.

will there be any garden centres open tomorrow? Ballyseedy or Woodies?

I think some of the supermarkets are closed tomorrow too, Dunnes and Tesco's are anyway, not sure about the others.

Didn't think of that! Liscahane would be my choice, maybe I'll wait until early in the week when it's quieter anyway. Nearly hanging basket time.

Nah, I meant hand out a permaban ( for anything, even a spelling mistake). and then offer to rescind it for work carried out in your garden

Apparently Tesco's in Manor is open Easter Sunday. Don't think they used to open on Easter Sunday before? Dunnes is closed.

Most supermarkets close on Easter Sunday, apart from Garveys and this year Tesco have stayed open.

Funny that - yet people like you have no problem enjoying the perk of a day off courtesy of said religion.

It isn't a bank holiday. Businesses are under no obligation to give a day off for it and many of us happily work it considering it's a day of no consequence to us beyond not being able to go out and socialise as normal because of a weird death fetish held by people of a certain persuasion.

People do in general tend to like days off though, I agree.

the banks are closed Good Friday, so technically a bank holiday for them!

Good Friday is a bank holiday, but not a public holiday.
We tend to call public holidays ( st Patrick's day, st Stephens day etc) bank hols when they aren't
