defo, its lovely and its just been done up inside, with a new door out into the balcony so you can sit outside now!
Food is good, plus very reasonably priced, and they have really nice bread & desserts. Oh and they got a new coffee machine, with lovely new coffee (can't think of name of brand).
I'm not a coeliac, but I do try and eat a bit more gluten free food as I do have IBS so it helps :)

Yummy off the Square also sell a gluten free range of products.
It is great to see these specialist food shops selling Gluten free products which are in great demand.

yeah a few places do gluten free on menus, but the difference is that the Gluten free Kitchen is strictly gluten/wheat free (and does dairy free etc,), so there is no fear of cross contamination which you can get in other restaurants & that can make a coeliac have a reaction.

I just passed through tralee there, there isnt a sole around the place, twas fair strange to see no car parked from the front of garveys right up to the traffic lights, never seen that before.

Perhaps a lot of people were out in Banna Beach or Ballyheigue Beach. It was a fabulous evening and wonderful sunset. Hopefully more fine weather tomorrow. Tralee is a great town , with easy access to some of the finest beaches in Ireland

Worth noting indeed. I must check them out. You mentioned their coffee was good also. Looking forward to visiting the Gluten free kitchen soon:) thanks

Looks like it is going to be another scorcher tomorrow. Will shoot into my favourite Castle off Licence and pick up a few bottles of bubbly and White wines.
They always keep a great selection there, and are extremely helpful. Lovely people. Probably the best wine shop in Kerry:)

On a different matter, I was looking thru the triathlon forum earlier & not 1 race thread about the Tralee triathlon over the weekend. There was a comment from a guy who said he was going, but no replies or anything. Did it bomb or was their a good turnout?

Well in fairness to them its not like it wasn't promoted. I was at a triathlon in Athy Co Kildare on June 1st and a lady handed me a flyer for the Tralee event.
The problem with it though was it is was a mini mini mini triathlon. The regular competitors might have thought it was not challenging enough. If memory serves me right it was 250 meter swim, 10k on bike and 2.8k run. A full triathlon is 2k swim, 40k bike and 10k run

Hiya, here's my few shillings, (it's been a while, busy out)

Regarding Rock Mountain, I'm unsure if it'll take off, it looks too big and I don't think the service will be that quick for a drive thru, like McDonald's. McDonald's isn't the healthiest we all know that, but I think R.Mountain will be along the lines of MJ's, which has great food but I wouldn't want to be waiting in a drive thru for their food, fair slow in MJ's but then again the food is cooked for you when you ask for it. R.Mountain should be either like MJ's a sit down place or McDonald's with a quick service - I don't think it can be both.

Cricket - I think it's great for the town to have a "new" club - I've only watched it on telly but bought myself a cheap set to play about with. My neighbour plays road bowls and by God he's a good cricket bowler, can knock those pins(??) off the sticks at any distance. I'd love to give it a proper go!

Del mentioned the castle off licence - I went in there a few weeks ago - and the service was excellent, a good chat with the lad behind the counter, would head there again they had a good offer on the Stella Cidre not cider lads!! lovely stuff, my tipple of choice now.

Not sure:confused: heard it was well organised. There was also a triathlon in Ennis yesterday,I understand! There are so many of these events now with different organisers, there is a danger of dates clashing and event duplication. Perhaps I am wrong, but was there a similar event in Fenit earlier in the year:confused:

    Welcome back Bob,
Looking forward to Rocky Road opening. I am hoping it will be along the lines of Ruby Tuesday or TGIF in the States.... Chicken , Steak, Ribs with finger licking sauces like Jack Daniels.....mmmm , my favourite. It is a pity they don 't have a proper website at this stage.

I hope it is a step up from MJ's, though I must say they run a nice operation ,good food and great value.

On the cricket front, I expect new members will be very welcome. Cricket as a sport is growing at a phenomenal rate across the globe helped in no small way by Sky Sports. Give it a try!

After a hard day playing cricket, or on the beach there is nothing nicer to quench a thirst than Stella Cidre, available from Castle Off-License:)

There was a triathlon in Valentia last month and I heard it was too cold to do the swim due to the wind chill when they would get out of the water, many of the serious competitors left to go home, the swim was replaced with another run, so that made it 2 runs and one cycle.

Del - did you ever buy the Jack Daniels sauce, I had a bottle of it before, where we were up the country we used to head up North a lot to shop, bought it in ASDA but I'm sure it's available here too, haven't been looking out for it so didn't spot it.

    Bob,
Jack Daniels sauce is available in Tesco.

If you are having difficulty finding it , my dear wife makes her own Jack Daniels sauce from scratch, and would be delighted to share the recipe with you. Even better!

    Please PM if you wish

    Best Regards,

    Del:)
