Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No its because their birth parents are from Africa, they are not 3rd or 4th generation immigrants or anything like that. Maybe its ignorance that people didnt know they were actually born and bred in the EU and not just immigrated to European countries some other african born players in the EU.
People should really do even a tiny bit of research before going around accusing people of fraud. Ignorance is understating it just a tad.

And I'm pretty sure if someone didn't know Balotelli and Lukaku were European born and raised, then they also didn't know what generation immigrants they were. It really does come down to them being black and not English.

My friend is Nigerian and attended one of their training sessions before. Apparently they lie about their age because it makes them command a higher transfer fee and raise their profile, so the Nigerian authorities (slightly sketchy at the best of times) are happy to roll with it.

The people coming into the thread saying they think Balotelli and Lukaku are lying about their age.

Than there was a certain Anthony Yeboah who, while playing for Eintracht Frankfurt went on holidays to Ghana during the summer and came back 4 years younger. And with malaria.

Do you have a source for this?

I found this link, which has a quote from Yeboah saying he made his age 2 years older so that he could play senior football at the age of 17 rather than waiting a few more years.

Surely it is well known that Nigeria has been pulling this stunt for years?

pretty sure FIFA have developed a test for counter-act the playing of older aged players at youth tournaments
