Derry just beat Arsenal to go top of division 3, can they keep it together until the end of the season??

Took over the mighty celtic, not a great squad but sure we'll give it a go.

GOOD stuff. Few new managers joining lately hoping my dream of a full league can finally be realised!

Arsenal beat Hertha BSC 2 - 0 in their Division 3 fixture.
Germain scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Pléa was also on the scoresheet for his side.

It's so nervy at the top of division three. We're clear by four points, but still have to travel to Derry where they will inevitably close the gap down to 1. That is if it's not closed in the meantime! :pac:

At least it looks like, barring a disaster from either side, that we're both going to be promoted automatically. So at least that's a positive for both sides. :):)

Arsenal slumped to a 2 - 1 defeat against Derry City in their Division 3 fixture.
Germain scored the only goal for Arsenal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

The gap is cut down to one point. My best prediction is that if I can win away to Saint-Etienne we should be able to win it out with wins at thome to Betis and bottom of the table Hearts. Would have been so much easier if we just got something today though.

To be fair though, from a neutral's perspective, Derry probably deserve it more considering they've done the double over us! :)

I think Arsenal have it, I still have to play Leeds and I expect to lose points there. Unless something goes horribly wrong for you I think you've got the title.

Slight wobble at the top of Division 1 with Pats drawing the last game. tough game against Brian's Juve team tonight who we lost to in the last game ... Baz's Barca have Marseilles who he has had some problems with in the past but should be good enough. Gap could be down to one or two points with 2 games to go .. or Barca loss and Pats win would hand the title to Pats ....

Just seen the mail about prizes and squad caps. Great news all round. I've been wondering how I'll compete in Div 2 since there's so many players tied up in the higher leagues.

Finally clinched the title (officially) on the final day. Fair play to Derry for running us all the way.

I feel most sorry for AS Monaco though. 93 points, and still only good enough for the playoffs, with the two teams above them both breaking the 100 point barrier.

The Spiders survive relegation on the final day! Commiserations to Swindon - it was a battle that lasted nearly all season

Congratulations! I was sitting top of the league for long enough too, I remember a slip up against Monaco that lead to a run of draws.

At least I beat the division champions twice ;)

    Onwards and upwards!

We over came the misery of mutliple play off final losses before making it to D1...

Its an exciting time to be back in the most competitive division in the GW ...

I'd say any newly promoted teams will be thankful to get out of their divisions before all the teams filled up ... Next season will be much more tricky!

Div 2 champions top of the league after 6 games, can we end the season now?
I expected to be sitting at the other end of the league to be honest.

edit Listening to offers for renato sanchez for next 24hrs. (24hrs as i'm working most of the time and don't have much free time on SM)
