After a horrendous day yesterday saved by two late picks thrown up here by members today has to be surely better.

    230 - Sea of Thunder (10/1)
    300 - Sprinter S (up to and including 7 lengths 2/1)
    340 - Jamesie Hall (14/1) and Gullible Gordon (12/1)
    450 - Native Gallery (14/1) and Manyriverstocrosss (14/1)
    525 - Cailin Ainamh (20/1) and Rathvown Belle (20/1)

Big odds on punt on MTOY in the 1st

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭longshotvalue

    4:15 Aintree

Master of the Sea, looks overpriced in the w/o fav market in Ladbrokes. He is generally 6/1 in the standard market but is a nice looking 5/1 here. I like these proven handicappers in these novice events and I would have him favourite here without Fishers Cross.

    2 Points win 5/1 W/o Fav Ladbrokes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Paddy Power went 6/4 for MTOY to win by 6 or more lengths.

Didn't jump the best but he's a machine.

Very impressive by Councel there at Sedgefield, think rossom put him up for Cheltenham, looks a really nice type.

I like that distance price on SS, I have a feeling the extra distance will see him cross over a bit shorter than we're used to over 2 miles.

You have to have 10e matched on the event and it usually doesn't become available until 2or3 mins before the race.
What I normally do if I don't want to have a bet is sticking a tenner up on a horse who is solid in the market get the stream going and lay it off!
Bingo!! might end up costing us a few cent but nothing major.

Yea I fear so too. Just looking at Sprinter Sacre there...he's the most beautiful horse we'll ever see. What a race coming up! :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,564 ✭✭✭kiers47

Probably my 3 favourite chasers in training! Will be delighted to see any of the 3 win Will be gutted for the other 2!
Not exactly a betting proposition but if anything I think 1/3 is probably value on the fav!

Peter Casey didn't travel to Aintree, he's two sons have travelled with the horse.

King George I would guess a very possible race now for SS. Gold Cup for Cheltenham?!

Edit: Geraghty and Henderson saying 2.4 his trip

    What a horse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭longshotvalue

. Please Please let him run in the King George some time..

Stunning, and beat Cue Card who has proved to be Top Class over that trip..

Not sure i want to even watch the other donkey races in comparison..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,500 ✭✭✭✭cson

Didn't see the race but I presume the distance bets were smashed?

    1 - Sprinter Sacre

2 - (Half the track) Cue Card

    3 - (5l) Flemenstar

    Or something to that effect?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 341 ✭✭Diggy78

This generation's Arkle?? Thought Cue Card ran a blinder to beat Flemenstar so easily and he was still stuffed. Think I'm gonna have a little of the 25-1 about Walk On in the next. Rated lower than when second to Unioniste and has won a grade 1 hurdle on good ground at the track. Anyone else fancy him to go well?
