    Hey all,

I'm looking for some help in making a fish soup...I've google'd it and there is so much variation out there...

Whats vegetables work in such a soup...

What Spices & Herbs work with such a soup...

    What fish should be avoided...

    Cheers in advance

For me the best fish soup in the world is a good Cullen Skink (smoked haddock soup).

This recipe is really easy and it's lovely.

I like to mash the spuds and onion a bit before adding the milk and fish to make it a bit thicker and creamier but I leave a lot of biggish lumps of spud as I like the texture.

Cullen Skink sounds good. Try and use real smoked haddock instead of dyed smoked haddock. It's available in most fishmongers these days.
