Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all. Got a Peugeot 206 1.1 that has'nt been started for over a month. Battery went flat. done a jump start. now the radio is skipping between channels. seems like a reception problem but the CD is also skipping between tracks. It will hold on approx 5 seconds on a track and 10 seconds, sometimes longer. has the radio been damaged during the cold spell or maybe been affected by dampness. Its a Clarion make that was factory fitted to the car.
    Any help appreciated, Thanks

Do you have controls on steering column ?

Yes. volume and channels can be controlled from the stalk on the steering column. CD tracks can also be selected from there.

Most likely fault is the steering wheel controls . I have seen this fault many times and most likely it will rectify itself after a while . With this fault the volume usually starts to creep up , let it run its course and keep the heat turned on when driving. Let me know how you get on please....

Much appreciated. Thanks for the reply. Actually i think the wipers were a bit wonky for a while after the jump-start but sorted themselves out after a while. i saw no link at the time with the column controls so hopefully you have nailed the problem. i'll do as you suggest and let you know how i get on.
    Thanks again.

Looks like problem is sorted. i did as you suggested and it worked. left the heater run when driving and diverted the dash heat vents to the controls on the steering column. problem gradually began to disappear, now the radio and cd player are back to normal. Many thanks for your help and advice. much appreciated.:)
