Hi , I've been in Australia for 8 months and just about to cancel my vhi global cover which I required when obtaining my visa. My employer will only cover expenses for Australia health insurance ! Can anyone recommend a health cover insurer in Australia. We are looking for a couple combined insurance . Many thanks Leon.

My job pays for http://www.medibank.com.au/Visitors-Cover/About-Visitors-Cover/Top-85-Working-Visa-Health-Insurance.aspx with their extras package added on.

It covers me extensively for pretty much any aliment emergency or elective except cosmetic.
Once you lodge a claim the money is usually back in your account in a day or two.

No problems so far.
