Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The COST of acne laser treatments/new places that provides acne laser treatment?

Hi, i know someone started a thread about acne laser treatments the other day and that there are various other threads on boards.ie about this topic i have read them but the cost of the treatments arnt really mentioned too much in these threads. I know the cost will vary from person to person depending on how bad the scarring is how many sessions they need and who and where do they go to get the treatment done... so it might be hard to judge.

But im looking for a rough estimate.

I cant really afford to splash 4 5 6 grand ? should it cost that much ?

Also those threads are from 2008, 2010.. so i was also wondering if anyone would know of any maybe new ish places that does these treatments ? Mainly based in dublin ???

rivermedical looks and sounds good ? always hear it being advertised on the radio.. is it any good does anyone know ? price roughly ?

i still need to do a lot of my own research about laser treatments, but i was hoping some people on here might be able to give me some help and advice.

Had extremely severe acne since 11 (started developing early) and im 21 now I really need to get my face sorted.

When i got acne i got it bad ..like really really bad ! carbuncles/boils close to my eyes and on my cheeks.. you name it with acne and i got it ha ! its not like ive only got 2 or 3 scars that i want rid off

Spots are pretty much calmed down now just get the odd 1 or 2 small ones here and there but my scars are terrible as i had really sereve acne during my teens, ive scars basically pretty much all around my face.. so my forehead 2 sides of my cheeks, temple right up close to my eyes (just want to give people an idea of the severity of the scarring) a lot of the scars have dents/small holes in them as well.. it would mean the world to me if i got my face greatly improved especially the redness.

If anyone can shed some light i would very much appreciate it thanks :)

The Laser and Skin Clinic on Baggot Street, Dublin (as well as Athlone & Mullingar) look impressive. They offer Laser Resurfacing for €1000-€1500. They also offer skin peels and microdermabrasion so if the scars aren't too large or deep this would be less invasive. They start at €80 a session and most recommend a course of 4-6 treatments. If these prices don't seem to bad I think you should have a consultation with a specialist, even if you don't go through with it immediately to see what your options are and at what price.
Grabone.ie have a special on the peels and microdermabrasion at the moment for €39 If you wanted to try one out.

Maybe no one knew the answer?

You should ask your doctor to refer you to a dermatologist, or just pick up the phone call the clinics and ask for a quote?
