Just a heads up to anyone considering cancelling their UPC tv subscription. I gave 30 days notice of intent to cancel. I have noticed that since I informed them I was cancelling that the reception has become terrible yet I still have to pay for the 30 days (I wouldn't have a problem with that if the service was maintained to a reasonable standard).

I have also been receiving numerous phone calls from their Customer Service Department trying to get me to stay on with them - I understand they don't want to lose customers but calling on Saturday of St. Patrick's weekend and again Saturday of Easter weekend along with other inconvenient times won't do themselves any favours with me.

I'm astounded that you could think your particular service would be degraded just because you gave notice to then of quitting - even more so if they were trying to get you to change your mind.

As for the calls - those days were just like any other Saturday

Bit of a coincidence then that the service has been crappy since I gave the 30 day notice?

I didn't realise they worked after 8.00pm in Customer Service.....
