Mary Lou needs to decide if she is addressing Vincent or the camera, her head is very bobbly.

Sure Sinn Fein would want the Seanad abolished when in the past they believed the IRA army council was the legitimate government of Ireland.

It won't be long before Michael McDowell makes a Sinn Fein/IRA swipe.

Did you hear him standing in for Derek Mooney yesterday, he could barely croak by the end. They should have brought on a substitute.

I do wonder what SF were promised to switch sides like this?

All of this focus on the Senate too and not hardly a mention of the 2nd referendum that people will be asked to vote on - seems to me like the usual "bait n switch" that Irish governments are so fond of in these things.

Would you not think it's a little bit suspicious a Bill was defeated tonight??.......

    Just a little bit??

An audience wouldn't have went astray, do TV3 have a live audience for any show?

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,747 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

At least the Dail is accountable and the man who proposed we abolish the Seanad is out there doing public debates...

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,309 ✭✭✭✭hotmail.com

Bruton's strategy seems to be to bore people.

The new HD studio is supposed to be able to accommodate an audience. I think you're spot on, an audience would've injected a bit of life into the programme. I'm beginning to doze off here.

The more I watch this the more I'm becoming convinced that this is just a smokescreen or first step to something a lot more sinister and far-reaching

Federal Europe to be implemented perhaps?

That's true, they have lost interest in having an audience. (And in the HD).
