Yes, but if these people spoiled their vote by saying "I don't understand what I'm voting for" their message would be received and there is a (remote) possibility that lessons would be learnt.

The problem with leaving any kind of message on your ballot paper is that it still just gets lumped in with all the accidentally spoiled votes. I'd prefer a "none of the above" option - especially in general elections.

What's written on spoiled votes isn't recorded.

The spoiled votes are put to one side to be checked and disputed at a later challange to their viability.

Details of spoiled votes are always reported on by the media so they're quite useful. I read about someone who put '1' beside every candidate in a General Election along with the words "as promised on the doorstep" :D

The newspapers report one or two of the funny spoiled votes.

If only some of our interviewees could be so clear and concise. It's always nice to see a guest behave in such a professional and courtly manner. Well done, CM!

Any chance Vinnie could spare a TV cameraman to lend to the Prime Time studio over in RTÉ ?

They seem like they were out late last night over there.

IIRC Michael Martin spent €30,000,000.00 on 10 reports when he was minister for health.

I'd say Enda was an angry little pissmire of a teacher in his day.
I bet the pupils were glad to get rid of him.

    Fulsome
    1. Offensively flattering or insincere. See Synonyms at unctuous.
    2. Offensive to the taste or sensibilities.

I'd say they hardly had him for a wet day, what age was he when he got his dad's seat??....Early twenties I think...

    Ah FFS.
A guy who can't talk properly and Willie O' Dea.

Even Eamon Ryan would be better.

I'm beginning to think it's a Mario Rosenstock sketch.
