Maybe he is, I didn't hear of him joining the 'Unwanted' gang. I'm wondering why that should be.
He's a harmless enough fellah. An awful eegit, but harmless.

I think they all need to see psychiatrists, what is wrong with their lives that they need to take drugs and alcohol.
Must be some void in their life or they want to forget something, certainly not happy that they need to alter their minds.

Just because you drink or smoke hash doesn't mean that there's something wrong with you.

Some people become addicted and there is a reason for an addiction.

btw i came across this Canadian guy from Montreal on the internet in the past, he grew cannabis, used and supplied and was sent to jail in Canada, his mind was affected by the drug, he liked to spam hardcore gay porn on motorsport sites that children could access.

That sounds like a representative example of hash smokers alright, some story you read on the net about a guy in Canada.

I heard somewhere today that the water shortage is because the 'raw' water is too clean........only in Ireland, eh!

No, he is a person I personally experienced on the internet, he would be ok for a while then would go crazy, he is banned from all major F1 forums.

Very sad about that man from England who died after running the marathon, he was raising money for a heart charity in the UK.

So you've never met him? Have you any links to support your story?

All civil marriage should be abolished.

I will do a quick search, he was more rampant around the 2001 to 2003 period, then he was banned from most places.

Sigh, 6 FG backbench backward FG TDs may hold up equality for lesbian and gay people.

It's ok, honest. The story is just bizarre and extreme if true. You can't take one extreme example and say it represents all hash smokers. It's just nonsense.

He went by the name Gilles Villeneuve, his accomplices were father mulcahey and dooly tilly...a google search will show them up. When they arrived on a forum you posted on it was not long before forum bans would be handed out.

    Riiight.

Moving on, I really hope an unpopular government won't hurt the chances of the same-sex marriage referendum from passing.

Sigh, 6 FG backbench backward FG TDs may hold up equality for lesbian and gay people.

They should be looking for a referendum to abolish civil marriage and let religious and secular organisations do marriage instead and let them decide who they want to marry, whether heterosexual or homosexual.

It is ridiculous the state has debased marriage to what is essentially a state's benefit package.

So what did el Mundo say....

  • Registered Users Posts: 49,731 ✭✭✭✭coolhull

Let religious organisations do marriages? And let them decide who they should marry? You mean a bunch of (supposedly) celibate old men in frocks should be put back in charge of the lives of grown-up, independent men and women?

    Explain, please...

Well at least you don't judge people...

I also said secular organisations but you didn't seem to rant against them.

Didn't you judge drug takers earlier?

What is there to rant about secular organisations? Nothing.

Well that was a fascinating discussion.
But there's lots of threads on here that could host an argument about this topic.
    For the moment, I'm out.

I've deleted some the off topic discussion (on gambling) as it had nothing to do with last night's programme and some of it was way too personal.

A gambling addiction should be diagnosed/treated by professionals not unqualified people on the internet.

Tonight's topic (gay marriage) has the potential to be a good discussion, but as usual will probably talk itself into the ground

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

Nice to see Mrs. Fionnán Sheanan on the show, I wish Fionnán and Vinny would sort out their differences. Fionnán used to be a decent panelist.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,805 ✭✭✭take everything

    Averdil looking great.
FF's shamelessly attaching themselves to anything that will benefit them.

Vinny, ask Averil about gay couple adoption. Gay marriage is too easy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

Marriage came about to control property and the inheritance of property. It was not to protect the children but to protect the property.

    Is this guy gay?

I think both men on the panel are gay but they're on different sides of the argument.
