Though I like Pierce, the thought of the Shinners in government puts the wind up me

What I love about this is this could've gone either way. In which case you'd have Kieran earnestly arguing the polar opposite.
They don't know what they're talking about largely.

It might not be a bad thing....they would soon find out that playing the game is a lot more complicated than shouting from the sideline.!

I'm sorry but what impact have the cuts had on older people? What cuts has there been apart from the telephone allowance?

Try and stay with the program, wealthy pensioners are cribbing over the cuts, pensioners living on €230, are hit the hardest.

The recession and the cutbacks has impacted people under the age of 45 for the most part. Full stop.

I wish people would stop trotting out the old people mantra. They are doing just fine.

    Starving children??
I just tuned in, where did this come from?
We have a hugely generous welfare state, we don't have people starving, if these are then they should be taken by the state but they aren't starving from a lack of money!

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,403 ✭✭✭✭vicwatson

Ah yeh, all EU countries must play by the same rules unless you're from Deutschland

Like the way in Animal farm, we are all equal, but some are more equal than others.

In what way specifically are they less off (apart from the phone allowance and the ending of the Xmas bonus)?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,198 ✭✭✭Good loser

Archbishop Martin says children are starving.

So VB takes this as an established fact and wants to know what the Govt is doing about it! Tonight?

What about all those nights he demands evidence/proof?

Agreed, it's from the parents mis-spending the money they get

I will leave it to you to maybe talk to some pensioners, who you may know in your area. You will be surprised at the education you will receive, hopefully you will inform me of your times.

Rather than patronise, perhaps you could back up your post or else admit you're wrong.

There was starving children during the boom. It's a sad reality that some parents can't or won't feed their children.
