Quite possibly, just as embarrassing as it was for Brown, who, in response to the journalist, could only say"aren't the politicians worst than the Charitiers, and aren't the bankers worse that the politicians?"

In others words, more or less the same as the archetypal bar-stool cynic when he devastatingly concludes....."shure they're all at it".

And we all know, don't we, that the true position of the cynic is one of the purest conservatism.

The last thing Brown wants is to see things change for the better. If they did, he'ld have nothing left to whine, uselessly, about.

    The Wheel person.

Until I know her salary I can't listen to her.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Enda Kenny is such a snivelling sh!t. He's talking about "scamming" in the Dept of Social Protection whilst his Government wastes millions upon millions on the "expert" consultants for Irish Water.

I could've sworn that Vinnie introduced her as James Last at the top of the programme. I was kind of looking forward to a tune.

She could never have organised this, though:

Vinny seems to be getting his bite back, I always used to look forward to seeing him tear a new one on some hapless nobody who was wheeled out to explain some Government policy, good to see him getting a dig in at the FF guy as well.

    More of this I say!

If Callahan does'nt think the PAC isn't the right place to question these allegations against Garda, then who is?

What I want to know is how do I get my 2 points wiped and my 80 euro back?

You simply claim that you are a bee-keeper and while you were out driving, you got a phone call to say that your bees were "out of control", and you had to rush home. At least that was one of the cases which Callinan quoted where penalty points were legitimately wiped out.:D

Tell them your house was flooded and you had to save your computer to write on Boards ;)

The buzz is ok with the fuzz, type of thing?

Or the mother-in-law was hanging from a cliff and I had to rush to her.
( In case someone saved her )

Listening to him today was like listening to a RC cardinal during the abuse scandals - circle the wagons, defend the institution & do your best to discredit the complainant. Déjà vu
