No need for sleeping pills when Sam is around.

I'd send you an espresso to stay with us Harry but.....

So, will we ever learn who "bugged the buggers?"

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

I wonder who could be bugging the Garda Ombudsman?

Now let's see, who could possibly benefit?............No, can't think of anyone.

I find it hard to believe they can't have a secure area which can't be accessed....

If your old enough to remember the Cosgrave coalition of the seventies, we seem to be going back there under the present regime, who were apprentice's to them at time. Transparency. My arse.

Why is the sound always so bad on the show?

Does anyone in tv3 actually watch the program and hear how bad the quality is?

It's funny that they have a Fianna Failer on tonight, given that his previous leader bugged the phones of everybody apart from the cleaner.....

    My opinion "prick"

Prick or not, he made a good point there at the end which addresses the suggestion that there needs to be a policing board (like in the UK) in Ireland which operates without any political involvement. That can't really happen as long as Gardai are also responsible for national security.

  • Registered Users Posts: 49,731 ✭✭✭✭coolhull

If the gardai didn't bug the G-SOC office, who else would? why would anyone else but Gardai have any interest in the goings-on there?

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

    Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

This is Ireland, he may have made a point at the end, but his contribution was less convincing.

Del-boy could not have put it better.:D

Who in their right mind would vote for "Kenneth" Egan??

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,399 ✭✭✭✭hotmail.com

Is Fine Gael popular in Clondalkin?

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

    Enda Kenneth.......naw, doesn't sound right.

    Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Just like our old friend Patrick Neary, who regulated the regulator?

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,749 ✭✭✭✭grey_so_what

Good luck to Kenneth knocking on the doors of Clondalkin...

    He's going to need it.

I liked the quote that he wanted to get involved "with any party"...

    Bless him..

They are both punch drunk with their fame, what's politics got to do with it.

This security guy is a Garda apologist.

I think he made a lot of sense.
He gave a very clear picture which obviously didn't go down well with the "give them a fair trial and hang them" brigade.
I like to have my facts before I make my decisions.

Obviously the Garda are the number 1 suspects but so were the Birmingham 6.

The media would have a huge interest.
    These stories sell papers.
Never rule out the 4th estate.
Just look at what happened in the News of the World.

    That's a stupid analogy.
