I'm wondering has Reilly done something completely fcuking crazy and they're just throwing these scandals to keep us distracted.

Still the mention of 'feminism' grates on some men (on here)! lol

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

I wonder if yer one with the red hair was ever made unemployed, and she filled out the social welfare form, would "Feminist Activist" be sufficient as details of her previous occupation?

    Love Vinny.
    "somebody should tell them".
An old one but a good one.

Edit: maybe not so funny given the context in fairness.

Perhaps because we happen to be living in a post-feminist era?

Perhaps you'd be far better informing and educating yourself before you make so many crass comments.

No, I'm going by most of the half-baked and ill-informed comments you've made on this thread for the past number of months.

Call me a feminist if you want, I don't mind. I've read Germaine Greer, Erica Jong et al, but I bet you haven't.

Come back to me when you've better educated yourself.

    Don't get personal.

FF wants an inquiry but completely unwilling to offer anything but complete support for the Gardai.

This is the glaring feature of Niall Collins' bluff and bluster on the subject. Given that Shatter's tactic is blatantly one of "stick to the Garda Commissioner like glue, right or wrong" (and Callinan's smugly offhand manner instantly makes me assume "wrong"), he's going to have a job coherently trying to stick to the GC even tighter, while attempting to criticise Shatter on procedural inanities.

There is, though if you think "feminism" is disappointingly poorly defined, this one will make you weep. In practice, it seems to be used to mean anything from "someone so 'pro-feminist' that they dare not use the unqualified word 'feminist' as a self-descriptor'" to "fully-paid up MRA a$$hole".

Nothing personal. Just don't start making lazy assumptions.
