Amazing how this woman can be so composed. Fair play to her.
    Really feel for her.

Pretty powerful stuff there. No Garda rep on to defend themselves.

What defense could they possibly put forward.

What are the odds that Kenny will take another lackey judge out of retirement to investigate this matter now it's back in the headlines?

There needs to be a complete overhaul of the Gardai and an outsider brought in to lead the force.

This is Ireland. People "retire" rather than "resign".

This is absolutely shocking stuff. It's utterly horrific that an aspiring talented legal mind is absolutely abandoned by our legal system when it should defend him.

    What football was that, Vinnie??

Like that great reporter Paul Williams who done a special on the pipeline on TV3 and claimed all sort of stuff against the protesters, buut of course he had no agenda at all:rolleyes:

As usual, of course, nothing will happen, and in a few days something else will crop up to take our minds off it.

    That the Govt. plan......

Labour history at the next election.

Cow is saying "You're full of bullocks".

What is the feckin point of coming back after an elongated break for about 30 seconds, invariably during which the speaker is cut off in mid-sentence??

I hope the TV3 people behind this are offered involuntary redundancy.

Where on Earth did the Examiner pull that figure of 600,000 from though? I know times are bad for an awful lot of people, but there is no way in hell that 600,000 rely on food banks.

If there are that many dependent on them then there's something far more than poverty to blame.

Foreign dignitaries make State visits to the UK all the time. Why should your average Brit care about the visit of the Irish President?

They don't, and that's the way it should be! It's called normality!

I think the state visit is a welcome development and a sign of the maturity our two countries have reached.

There probably is more hype attached to it on this side of the pond but that's understandable.

It's a long way from the days when the British Embassy in Dublin was burned to the ground.

The RTE junkets have already started. It might explain why the camera work was so bad at the IFTA's on Saturday night. They probably gave the job to an intern.

The crowd at the IFTA's didn't give a monkey's about Michael D's speech....

He was lucky he wasn't pelted with champagne bottles...
