If this is the "left" speaking, then God help us. I've never heard such incoherent rubbish!

And that's even without the FG/Labour candidates present !!!

Private homes are not allowed sell self generated power back to the grid, any gas or oil that we bring ashore will be sold at the same price as if it was shipped in from the Middle East. Our energy plan is a joke.

There's one fella in the background there who hasn't STFU since I tuned in 20 mins ago.

He should be fúcked out on his backside by security.

And people wonder how FF/FG/LAB can get away with what they do?

Because this folks is the opposition :(

It's like someone joining the Nazi's because they didn't agree with the gas chambers.

No it isn't. I despise FF.. but if someone wants to get into politics and share a voice then how many options do they have for doing so?
    • Join a party that they vehemently disagree with (rtegarding current direction and policy)
    • Join one that suits their social and economic ideal, yet have a bad history
    • Join mental extremists
    • Join the other independent voices that will never be listened to
If the only disagreement people have to others joining particular parties, then they have already lost the argument.

I think I would rather the country go into marshall law before voting FF, FG or Labour in again.

This lady is probably the most articulate out of all of them. And she's not even a native English speaker.

I thought this was the "People's Debate" but everyone who's spoken tonight (with the exception of the young fella?) is tied to one of the parties?

The farmers do best of all out of the EU after the politicians elected to it.

    92% of farmers over 65.

Can't blame Borosso and co for that.

Wig man needs to get his facts straight.

    Ming is looking well.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

I might give Ming the nod.

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,861 ✭✭✭✭_Kaiser_

    Ming is looking well.

I actually agree with his point. As the EEC it made sense and worked well.

But then it got political aspirations and the slide started. You just can't lump a bunch of countries with different economies, resources, cultures, and national interests together and expect them all to get along!

Europe won't ever work as long as it's dominated by the big two!

    What's next month's topic?

I'd like to see it one month go the Joe Duffy Liveline route and bascially accept any topic from the floor, perhaps have some SKYPE input from outside the studio too.
