    Ireland can't govern itself.
I can't think of anyone in politics i would like governing the country.

Donnelly maybe. Whatever about SF, he always come across well IMO

But I've said before on this site that I think this country is a failed state at this point and the best thing we could do is hand the keys back to Liz and apologise for the mess we made of the place.

Not saying that the UK is the answer to all our prayers, but the EU is doomed to fail IMO

Meanwhile " Fine Gael's John Buttimer, who sits on Cork City Council, was paid a total of €145,091 in 2012 and 2013."

Nice work if you can get it.

The money was "spent" by Irish people buying houses from other Irish people at extortionate prices with mortgages obtained from banks who got it pumped in to their accounts from European banks. Only for the "financial crisis" that occured at the time it did in the world we would be in much deeper in debt as the regulator would have continued letting banks lend mortgages to people who should never have got such loans.

The happy head on her after she said her piece too!

More importantly though - do those anti-snoring rings really work??

Seems like the best way to unite the room is to slag off Alan Shatter.

    I want a federal Europe.

People who are against the European Union are not dealing with the reality of what the EU has brought us, before Europe came together, we had war after war in Europe.

The EU is far from perfect, but it is far better than what we had before the creation of the EEC.

It's at times like this that I'm happy we don't have direct democracy.
