I thought Eamon Dunphy's interview with Gay Byrne on The Meaning of Life this week was very good.

Eamon was very emotional talking about his family and childhood (not tired and emotional, properly emotional).

It was an excellent interview. Although it could have done with being a bit longer. He cries very easily. Here he is, getting emotional about Italia '90...

Frances Fitzgerald looked very uncomfortable talking about this tonight.

I find people who have no knowledge of the technical stuff feel a bit uncomfortable. Like a fish out of water. Even after briefings they still haven't a clue about this stuff.

Jesus, a Garda with a complaint cannot refer their concerns to GSOC. That's mad.

I thought it was a wonderful interview, I love Dunphy, he is flawed and so human, I guess that's what appeals to me.

That is because she hasn't a clue, she will do as she is told.

Looking at those pair of prlcks you should get satisfaction in paying your license fee, knowing it is going to support business failures.

Used to like him but i think his populist controversialist slant on things has become very samey and predictable.

Good to see The Cook Report back. I was wondering about whatever happened to Roger.

I did say he was flawed lol :D

The guy is a mass of contradictions but I think there is more good than bad in him.

My comment is more about her ability in carrying out her duties. That is my personal opinion.

Are all these Tribunals and Inquiries just jobs for the boys?
The Cook Report and the Smithwicks Tribunal (plus all the others) seem to have answered nothing at all and are just making assumptions and being held to appease the public in my opinion. Loads of unanswered questions BUT we kinda knew that would be how they'd end up anyway.

McGurk (RTE Rugby) and Dunphy (RTE Football) together on a TV3 panel.

    It doesn't look right.

We had the Moriarty report and the government stood by the guilty.
So big deal what the answer is.

There's no way anybody will take FIFA seriously until Septic Bladder gets the boot.

Colombia was supposed to host the 1986 World Cup, but FIFA stripped it from them when it was clear they wouldn't be capable of getting the Infrastructure ready in time.

So there is a precedent. Hopefully there will be a change and the World Cup won't get near Qatar.
