Reading today that Ronaldo earns circa 350 grand a week.

Depressing how much us plebs have to toil to earn a fraction of that.

With a name like Fred, I'm not surprised he wasn't snapped up to play in Europe.

They should've kept Dunphy on for the newspaper review.

Wilbur Ross is basically the monopoly guy in the flesh.
I mean his name is Wilbur.
Amazing how these vultures cash in on the detritus of the bust just like that.

Strikes me as odd that there's no backlash from the fans urging boycotts of games.

I'd say they're afraid to let Dunphy loose on the Tuam babies issue

Just open and honest buying and selling. What's wrong with that?

The guy doesn't add anything to society.
He just makes a profit from the changing values of broken banks.
He's delighted there was a crash. Get the taxpayers to bailout BOI and ride the wave of increasing confidence in it (from a very low base).
So it's opportunistic, vulture-like and fair enough that's capitalism. It's a rotten form of capitalism.
I just have no respect for this system.

I could see the Reform Alliance very quickly turning into a modern-day version of the Progressive Democrats.

Appoint someone from the senate, what if she has to stay at home to hold her daughters hand while she is sitting an exam.

Why Lucy not think of any of these reforms when she was a passenger on the government Gravy Train?

Loos like Pearse uses Daz on his shirts.

Ordinarily, I'd say that we're basically operating as a tax haven for multi-nationals but at this moment in time, I wouldn't mind the Irish Government telling the EU to go fcuk themselves.

In the meantime those on Single Farm Payments can recite Patrick Pearse's Little Lad of the Tricks for a living for spare change from our new uber patriots in charge if that happens.

At the same time, we'd be reclaiming our rightful fishing waters......

I could see the Reform Alliance very quickly turning into a modern-day version of the Progressive Democrats.

In an ironic way, presumably. The PDs were (partly) created as a reaction against social conservatism. The Reform Alliance is a reaction to a perceived move towards social liberalism.

Yet the PD's quickly jumped into bed with FF at every opportunity. In the same way, I could see the Reform Alliance jumping into bed with Fine Gael at the earliest opportunity, if the numbers stacked up for them.

Which we so successfully exploited between 1921 and 1973.. Oh wait!
