It ain't worth watching. Claire Byrne isn't exactly Paul Kimmage, and McQuaid is in his usual "Nothing to do with me guv" mode.

Ah ffs.. I was just sitting on the floor with my finger pressed on the FF (cue) button on the VCR... Now you're after spoiling it on me..:mad::mad:

Think of Kathleen Lynch's speech in the Dail a few months ago defending James Reilly to the hilt. The OED added Lynch's mugshot alongside the definition of "obsequious" in their latest edition.

    Should be interesting

Vinnie should have had Eamon Ryan, John Gormless or Dan Boyle on the panel tonight. The Greens were always vehemently opposed to the Shannon US military refuelling stopover, until they got into government, and then they kept their mouths shut for 4 years.

He nearly got there, but the dog collar was too tight.

Clare Daly has a valid point, even if most Irish people seem to think that Republican Presidents = Bad, and Democrat Presidents = Good.
Obama has done very little to put an end to what's happening in Guantanamo Bay, and he continues to authorise drone attacks in Pakistan. Bill Clinton expanded the trade embargo with Cuba, and it was John F Kennedy who escalated the war in Vietnam. Considering Enda has stolen speeches by JFK and thinks the sun shines out of Obama's arse, he'd want to read up on the facts.

    Jesus Enda is useless.

Enda claimed everyone supported the peace process, where does John Bruton fit in when he the was the Tshirt,"Fu(k the peace process". His famous quote. It is in the RTE archives, but will it be ever be aired again.

John Bruton is the living embodiment of The Peter Principle.

Labour voted against the bank deal, bit were still happy to go along with it when they got into government. Bunch of champagne socialist hypocrites.

What was the purpose of bringing on the old fart with the grey beard, all he said was he was no longer a member of the labour party, who gives a fook what the likes of him thinks.

Clare Daly has a valid point, even if most Irish people seem to think that Republican Presidents = Bad, and Democrat Presidents = Good.

The reality is that Democrat presidents are, for the most part, marginally less awful than Republican presidents, but are infinitely better at kissing Ireland's arse and making us feel all important.

He wrote a very good book about the 1913 Lockout. Shame he arrived too late to contribute much to that discussion.

Vinb started earlier tonight. Some FG backbencher on tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

It's hilarious listening to Eamon Ryan lecturing FG about deviating from their election promises. I doubt anybody who voted Green in 2007 expected their vote would be used to prop up a Fianna Fáil government for another 4 years.

The FGer had no idea that Liam Cosgrave voted against the contraception bill in 1976. Yeah right.
