    We need more women, really? Mary Hanafin, Mary Coughlan, Mary Harney, Mary O'Rourke .. ? The problem is the TYPE of people who get in to political life, not the sex..

    With the exception of Harney, their fathers were all TDs or senators. We do need more women in politics - but preferably not women whose only qualification is that their parents were senior members of Fianna Fail.

    Challenging God on TV3 now. Vinny asking why people remain as Catholics given the numerous scandals over the last 20 years and the Church's continued attitude to women and lesbian and gay people.
