Malala is fairly impressive.. I wonder did she get to meet #Sl4neGirl while she was here...

Oh I heard this evening that #Sl4neGirl went to the garda station last night and has reported a sexual assault...

That 15 yr old girl is extraordinary. Defying those medieval savages.

    I like Dearbhail's presenting.

No sorry......thanks but it was pre that.....it was just him and some girl.....mid nineties if I recall ....and he was in competition with her....it was like a comp for presenting done prog or something......I've thankfully never seen that treasure island prog so I know it
    not that

I remember Caroline Morahan winning a reality competition to present The Fame Game back in the day. It might have been that programme you're thinking about.

    Your compassion is heartwarming.

It was reported that she had to be admitted to hospital suffering from stress.

I'm glad we have a "Non fatal offences against the person act".

Knowing that such an act is there will help me sleep a lot better tonight.

They can talk all night about cyber- bullying, but why aren't they all contacting ask.com, facebook, youtube etc, and forcing them to moderate the uploads?
It works fairly well here on Boards.....

There's a vast difference between boards.ie and twitter, youtube etc (no offence boards.ie), but I think you have a point.

There is a serious issue about the way many men speak about and behave towards women. Alva is correct.

Every night on this thread, someone has to mention how the female panelist is looking.

Her exact words were "Men do not respect women". When people spout that sort of crap, they give ammunition to the misogynistic idiots who believe that feminism is all about "hating men". She did her cause few favours.

Ok, just put "some" or many" in front of men there. Now is there an issue with some men not respecting women?

The feminist is making a lot of sweeping statements.

If she was a Rose she'd be talking, dancing around and sweeping at the same time...

    Multi-tasking.....:p
