Carrick-on Shannon Driving test route.

Hi all,

So I'm looking for the driving test routes in Carrick on Shannon. I need to get used to them so I'm hoping some one here can list them. Or maybe get a route via Google maps. But if I get the parts of Carrick the driving tests go through, I would be able to do the Google maps thing myself.

It's a while since I did mine, but here's the route:
Start at test centre, out onto n4, take left towards dublin, continue to first roundabout, take third exit towards dublin, continue to next junction, take first exit towards MBNA (No roundabout there at that time), Continue up by the school to T junction, take a right and travel over towards the hospital, just before hospital, i did my reverse sort of up hill into that housing estate that has homes for the elderly. Back down again by the school and head towards the centre of town, by the national school and Murtagh's. Turn right and up park lane. Follow the road up by the football pitch and then turn left up St Patrick's Park. At the top of the Park, turn right and that's where I did the 3 point turn. Back down to main stret again, down bridge street, turned left at coffey's and back over to the test centre. Piece of cake. Route may have changed since then though. It was 15 years ago.

Think there's sometimes a hill start on the hill by Gings Bar. Or at least there used to be a few years ago!

Oh yes, I believe that is correct, or else the hill start is at the other side of that hill sometimes... thanks.

Well my memory is hazy :P. But....

I done the reveres around at the old hospital.

I done the hill start outside the school, on the one way street. Becareful though, there is a either box junction or double yellow line out side the school and the tester tried to get me to stop on it. :eek::pac:

And my turnabout up at the housing estate on the far side of the town.

If you wish I can get these spots on google maps...
