Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I sat astride a Rocket III at a Triumph dealership in Surrey a few years ago, the salesman gave me the keys and said take her for a spin if you like? but just starting her up was enough for me. The kick from the engine was amazing, the tank is about two feet wide, and I am only 5'10" so I said thanks for the offer, but I think I'll just rev her a bit and leave it at that :))

Tapered pipes look savage on this one btw.

All sorted by the nice Declan and Jeff in Dublin HD. The bike is back with them and all are happy. Should hopefully be getting something else soon. Have my eye on two machines at the moment.

Yep it was handed back after I had a vote of no confidence against it. Basically I had an agreement with the sales manager that left and it wasn't followed through. There was also an issue with the bike that I would deem lethal. Sadly their techs couldn't replicate it. Either way Jeff sorted me out and seen me go out the door happy so I'd be glad to deal with them again.

I don't normally bump such an old thread but found out today from a little birdie why this particular Rocket III was acting up

I can't give names or circumstances on the thread but lets just say something wasn't disclosed to me when I was buying it. I'm not sure if the lads in Ballymount knew about its history or not but it was pretty serious !!

This is the one I bought April 2013, It acted quite odd so took it back. Turns out it was crashed by the previous owner and I wasn't told this.

Lowest of the low....they knew and still sold it in "GOOD FAITH":mad:

Do they have to tell you it was crashed, or do they just have to tell you if you ask?
It wouldn't bother me if it low speed and it was repaired 100%.

think there might be a legal obligation to disclose if its been a crash repaired insurance write off, but other then that I dont think so.. they cant lie or deceive, but no questions asked, means no implication for them - so make sure you ask everything..! This goes for 'mileage corrections' too afaik
