I admit to being a fairly terrible Wrestling fan in terms of attending local shows. But in my defence both Naas and Bray are a bit of a pig to get to, I am studying at the moment and I have all sorts of family commitments. I have attended two shows near me in past year or so.

On Rebecca specfically I remember her first match being mentioned on shortish notice and the second one I don't I heard about in advance.

FFPW was going to upload her first match on Youtube but didn't I can fully understand given the WWE news Rebecca probably didn't want it out.

    Any promotions based in cork?

First off thanks Rovert for the kind words about our school. It isn't stretching the truth to far to say that our small little school out in Bray has made waves all around the world with some of the biggest promotions around. I think its justified to say we are the best school in Europe hands down with the amount of success with have had with people who started in our school.

My main point about posting this is... Did anyone know the Rebecca Knox recently wrestled 2 shows for Fight Factory Pro Wrestling? If so, did anyone go to the show(s)?

Its very frustrating as a wrestle in Ireland because we are all trying to create a busy wrestling scene here but it seems the fans in this country don't come out and support it. I use the Irish promotions thread as an example. Shows get announced and no one talks about it. The talent in this country is world class in the ring, even if the promotions hosting it aren't. I think that's proved by the fact Devitt(NJPW) Tracey, Devlin, Maxer, Boyd and (soon) Morrisey will all have wrestled in Japan with Zero-1. Rebecca is WWE bound along with Cabray and Rachel. Everyone above has wrestled stateside and across Europe. Plus the next gen at FFPW have been having some of the best matches I've seen in years. There are at least 10 others on this isle that can have great matches. Not just good matches.

To the point, I'm not going on the offensive to fans here. I'm just trying to point out that more people should be coming to support Irish wrestling, there is like 6 shows in May alone between us, MSW, NLW and wrestling.ie, Zack Sabre Jnr from NOAH/WxW will be over for at least 1. Its time to start creating a buzz about what we all love, because the talent is HERE now, at least untill WWE sign it up.

Again, I'm not criticising, but I've said it before here that if anyone is blaming consumers for not getting behind something they're doing...something is wrong. That's a basic rule in marketing any kind of business, small or large (though generally only small businesses do it).

You've listed a bunch of reasons why people should come and see your shows. I agree with those reasons, it sounds like people are missing out. But it's your job to make people realise all of that, not theirs to figure out. If your answer to that is, "We're purely focused on providing good wrestling, we're not promo guys," or something along those lines...then what do you expect other than to put on good wrestling shows to small crowds?

Please don't see that as an attack, I'm being constructive here. I want you guys and Irish wrestling in general to do well. :)

I endorse Rybecca being the female Ryback http://wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=prowrestling&action=display&thread=276885&page=1

    Certainly a trademarkable sounding name.

Celtic Championship Wrestling do shows in Cork I believe. Their whole set-up is very professional and their shows always look very good

that's both of their shows. they run them every two months or so I believe. the footage from the last one is yet to be uploaded. they seem to be going the right way about establishing their own identity as a promotion

Any shows that come down my way I go to, attended one recently that had about 200 people at it, Kilkenny always draws well when the promotion puts up a few flyers yet they rarely get any wrestling down here :(

I would like the chance to see the guys like maxer etc...and have once but its alot harder to convince my "non wrestling fans" friends to go dublin then it is to get them to go to a local show. I had 5 non wrestling fans with me at the last show by just mentioning it and they all said yeah fcuk it i'll go for the craic. There was 30 of just my mates at another show ( I was wrestling myself though )

Point being if there was more shows outside of Dublin i'd go, ive gone to cork ,wexford, waterford and loais for shows but all the ones now seem to be Dublin based bar the odd IWW show
