So he went over not knowing how much tax that he was likely to pay.

If he is only sending home "peanuts" surely he'd be better on the job seekers and be able to see his kids, will be a free child minder as well.

Id say that there is more to that story than meets the eye

Why doesn't this guy just move to West Canada so and make some decent money?

    What's keeping him in Toronto?

This woman is right. It's all about the attitude when you move abroad. You have to be so pro-active.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tara was formerly known as Tom.

Emigration is hard shocker. They don't give out free money or anything and they charge tax on work, rent for accommodation. they even charge you for food. What's with these foreign countries?

Shhh. Aubrey won't like this woman.

    She's right about that though.

People moving furniture, TV's and the kitchen sink to Canada or wherever is downright stupidity.

  • Registered Users Posts: 137 ✭✭the great purveyor of mediocrity

They are buying containers for their furniture and paying for international shipping and logistics and coming home days later and being unable to pay to have their container of stuff returned because.......wait for it......they are fecking hamsters.

The bankers and the property developers are too busy on the golf course to be listening to De Liveline.

Too much remembering is not a good thing! This woman is seriously over-obsessed with the death of her child.

  • Registered Users Posts: 137 ✭✭the great purveyor of mediocrity

I've emigrated loads of times. Never had half the hassle these hamsters have had. I suspect these people struggle with opening child proof packaging and the like. Last time I emigrated, I had €100 in my pocket and managed to secure several low paying jobs within the first week in order to get started and came home a few years later. No containers, just a backpack.

This woman should be talking to someone other than Joe Duffy.
