I wondered what the niche in the market was she was talking about - in her business you can buy your cake and eat it :D

Is there anyone actually literally starving in Ireland??

Am I being unfair in thinking that a lot of these claims of "not being able to put food on the table" are exaggerated?

(Also, if it's a really good business, how come it's doing so badly?)

Why doesn't she scurry down to Lidl and join the rest of the rats?

Shes annoyed that she doesnt have a big franchise? There is no guarantee of making a fortune out of a business idea, get real woman.

NO. On another day you will be hearing about childhood obesity.

Water proof clothes for kids is a great idea? Middle Class nonsense more like.

This is a thinly veiled "aren't I great" call.

Along with the multitude of people who think they'll make a fortune from selling "cupcakes" that look like they've been iced with multicoloured dog****.

    - "Would you mind if I came in and watched little Johnny play"

reply: "No Father Ryan, not after the last time" :D

Is that a woman working in a creche who just told the kids to shut up so she can talk on the phone!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,966 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

There at quarter to 7, finish at 4 or 5. So she's there 24-7 ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,721 ✭✭✭sudzs

I wonder how long before someone rings in to object to the idea of an open house creche where these other parents have access, without garda clearance, to their little darlings!

She had said that people were scurrying around Lidl like rats looking for cheap food.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,949 ✭✭✭✭IvyTheTerrible

This one reminds me of the head of the Ayn Rand creche in the Simpsons!

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,966 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

All the staff are human ?

As opposed to the two that are cyborgs ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,730 ✭✭✭europa11

I missed that bit. What was the "rat" reference ?

She claimed families were "scurrying like rats" around her local Tescos' "use-by" bargain shelf.

Good job things are so hunky dory in her native Sweden

sending children to creches is expensive - why then do I hear that the carers are paid badly? If 20 kids are paying 150/200 a week, thats in excess of €3,000 - why then cant the staff be paid well? If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys

Looks like Damien is getting all the shrill women callers

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

Do they teach the kids in the crèche how to scurry like rats? This is now an essential like skill!

"I have children in my facility since they were babies".

    Well it is a crèche!
