First caller Joe wasnt rude to this year.. Well done, well done.

    Is she *actually* a Dr?

Perhaps you should not be indoctrinating young kids full stop. Perhaps wait until they are adults and let them decide then if they want to make their "first communion". Then you will only have churches attended by people who really want to be there?

He's dead right. If you take part, respect the place and the practices, otherwise don't take part.

same goes for when you go to a lap dancing club. If you take part, respect the place and the practices, otherwise don't take part.

I agree. Now getting my wife to agree that i shouldn't go to the kids communion will be little more difficult.

Just don't go. If it means nothing to you, don't go. Or if you feel you must, for your child, then go but just respect the place while you are there. I don't see why people can't just sit there for an hour without using their cameras/phones or chatting all the way through it.

If you go, don`t go with green diesel in your tank, because that would be a sin ;)

Ideally they should have the Communion service during school hours on say Friday....then on Saturday the parents and their entourage can make straight for the pub/hotel with Lil' Britney or whoever in tow.

The priest should get the broadband in.. Charge them 20 quid for an hour's broadband, and when they connect they find that all social media is blocked and your browser is automatically directed to thebible.com
