Nobody has explained why a tiny museum like this requires 28 tour guides.

From my understanding they were told in January, Ive lost jobs in the past with pretty much no notice. I didn't ring Joe about it.

Liveline and Irish media in general is full of well off public sector moaners complaining about increments deferred he's lost his job and well within his rights to highlight the situation in hopes that ESB will change their mind, they are rich organisation with huge profits.

This is going to go on until Joe interviews everyone in the world who had a passing interest in these houses isn't it ?

All we're missing here are model trains whizzing between the floors. The way this guy is going on if you were just tuning in you'd think they're knocking the building down.

For the people who lost their jobs the impact is the same, the ghost of Thatcher is alive and well on this forum, sad.

I was in a musuem in Constanta in Romania once. As you went from room to room there was a woman in each room who switched on the lights and once you left she switched them off again....I am not sure if it was run by the ESB:eek:

Jaysus Joe, it has been long established what happened to the houses, it didn't just happen in the middle of the night over a bank holiday weekend.

Joe " did they find anyone buried under the floor boards Betty? "

The ESB hired an English architectural consultant to advise them on the state of the Georgian houses.

He described them as "One damned red brick house after another" and their fate was sealed.

One of the biggest acts of vandalism ever seen in this country.

Well it took a lot of sacrifices, mainly children, but we got her to hang around here eventually. Go Maggie.
