    Four years off the road

that was not his first offence or anything like it

It's not like the good old days. 200 years ago, this fella would have got into Australia no bother.

Off the road for 4 years for being "barely over the limit".

    My rosey red ass.

In general, minor stuff you did many years ago shouldn't really have any bearing on your life nowadays, to be fair. This guy sounds a bit of a chancer, mind.

I agree. But this fella has a lot of minor stuff and its all adding up.

However if his record has been clean for 12 years, it does nobody any good to keep the convictions hanging over him.

Its ridiculous that his records can't be expunged buy some pen pushing busy body with feckall else to do when he is genuinely trying to make a go of things.

"In the four years you were never caught driving" ... not that you never drove ... great standard Joe!

I reckon Simon met the pieman

Ah would someone ever set up a checkpoint and pull this lad over, make him feel wanted.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,272 ✭✭✭Deedsie

I hate that stupid thought process. The only reason not to drink drive is so you won't lose your license... Jesus, not a hint of regret that he may have caused a loss of life by his behaviour. His only regret is that he got caught and it cost him money.

Simon's story just doesn't add up. No way do you get 4 years off the road for a first offence.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,313 ✭✭✭Mycroft H

  • Registered Users Posts: 359 ✭✭TheVman

Oh god he is such a nobbo Simon, what the fcuk,

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,129 ✭✭✭my friend

    Joe

No one gets 4 years road ban for being slightly over the limit

Time for Simon to be honest

Simons only regret is that he got caught

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

As the Americans would say: 'Would you buy a second-hand car from Simon?'

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

He's probably not accustomed to getting served in pubs.
