There is NO PLACE for performing animals in a civilised society.

I disagree. There are lots of places for performing animals, but the animals need to be treated very well. I saw a tiger in a cage at a circus last summer, and it had about as much room as I would have in a phonebox.

I await the animal cruelty people to ring in - now they have saved the Bothar goats, we need the annual Liveline account of "When Circus Animals Go Bad".

Dress up those white alsatians and huskies in Tiger and Live Lion outfits and they won't notice the difference.

The parrots might be a problem in this regard I'll grant you.

par for the course for this time of year. LAst year some Llamas "escaped", the year before that it was some crap about an elephant. Same pattern every time, get the "news" bit out of the way in the first 30 seconds, and then 20 minutes of Joe telling David Duffy how much all of ireland loves his circus.

    edit: Ah! Contarf!

David:"We had to get rid of the parrots Joe"
    Joe:"Whoy David?"
David:"They kept interrupting their performance to demand their rights Joe"

    JFK time. :(

At this stage I think Ronan Collins is the only show on RTE not to mention him today.

Although Mooney will probably skip the late president as well considering Kennedy's preference for the lay-deeez:D
